Using TriDot to train for running events

Yes, we have many athletes that use TriDot to train for pure running events.

Once you've onboarded and have a TriDot account, you can select Run Only on the desktop browser.  Navigate to your "Preferences" and select "Run Only" under "Sessions to Include." You can also select the maximum number of run sessions per week.

Be sure to add your race into RaceX since your training will be customized for your event. Note that if you also have a triathlon on your schedule in RaceX, TriDot will still prescribe you swim and bike sessions to prepare you well for your triathlon.

If you choose to include swim and bike sessions as cross-training, you can also set the number of sessions for these disciplines, and keep your primary focus on the run.
