On desktop or mobile, go to your daily Session screen, click the "hamburger" icon in the upper right-hand corner, and select "Send to Garmin."
Once you've "Send to Garmin," simply go to your device and say "Yes" to the prompt asking if you want to do the workout.
Workouts can be manually sent 2 days or less from when the workout is scheduled to take place.
You can go to "Preferences" in the app and toggle "on" the option to automatically send all* workouts to Garmin.
*Some swim sessions and any bike/run session (including assessments) that do not have a segment profile graph will not have the send or download button displayed as they cannot send currently.
