One-Arm Swimming (a.k.a. single-arm swimming)

Purpose: to maintain body position and develop feel for rearward pull

Pointers: pull back with forearm (don't push down), try not to bob up and down with each stroke

  • With one arm extended forward, swim with only one arm.
  • When rotating body and turning head to breath, only let one eye come out of the water.

Repeat the drill swimming with the other arm.
